DESCRIPTION
DCF Dry Shake Color Hardener is a streak-free
powdered cementitious material containing special hard aggregates
and produced by a proprietary manufacturing and intergrinding
process. Formulated to be easily incorporated into the surface
of freshly placed concrete, DCF Dry Shake Color Hardener provides
a highly effective and inexpensive way to add beauty, decor
and lasting value to concrete flatwork.
Our color hardener products produce
brighter, deeper and uniform color selections while providing
excellent wear resistance. By incorporating added technologies
into a fifty-year-old proven blend, we produce color hardeners
that are consistent, high quality products. Our color hardeners
are a proprietary blend of light fast, weather resistant,
pure synthetic and natural iron-oxide pigments, cements, specialty
quartz crystals, and surface conditioning agents.
BENEFITS
· Overall harder surface for increased
wear ability in high traffic areas.
· Light fast and weather resistant
maintains the beauty for years to come.
· Maximum resistance to the effects
of UV rays keeping the color true.
· The high-density surface allows
easy clean up and resistance to grease and oil penetration.
· Increased durability for resistance
to freeze/thaw and scaling from deicing salts.

Normal concrete placement should be
observed. The color hardener should be applied only after
the bleed water has evaporated from the concrete substrate.
Using the color hardener to dry the bleed water should be
avoided, as it will reduce the structural integrity of the
surface.
DCF Dry Shake Color Hardener should
be hand-broadcast across the surface using the dry shake method.
Normally two applications should be used; two-thirds for the
first application and one-third for the second and final application.
Most professionals agree that using a wooden bull-float allows
better incorporation of the color hardener into the surface
of the concrete as it leaves the concrete open until the final
hand trowling. If possible, broadcast the second application
of color hardener at a ninety degree angle to the first to
increase uniformity in the color. After the final application
the surface should be finished using normal finishing techniques.
Avoid over troweling.
USES
· Concrete floors that are subject
to heavy daily use.
· Areas where uniform color and designs
are desired to enhance the appearance of con- crete flatwork.
· Suitable for indoors and outdoors.
· For freshly placed concrete surfaces
such as: driveways, patios, entryways, sidewalks, swimming
pool decks, steps, curbs, shop ping centers, motels, garages,
parking garages, etc.
