APPLICATION

Numerous factors will significantly affect the amount of antiquing ultimately obtained and the projedct’s final appearance. Some of these factors include timing, finishing, application and removal techniques, mix design, surface texture, weather, color combinations, experience in use of the materials, and sealing.

Immediately before imprinting or stamping, DCF Antiquing Powder Release Agent should be applied by broadcst method onto the freshly placed concrete just prior to stamping at a rate of approximately 3-4 pounds per 100 square feet. This Antiquing Release forms a bond breaking barrier that helps prevent the stamping tool from sticking to the surface of the concrete.

After the concrete has cured sufficiently (7-10 days), the non-embedded Antiquing Release should be removed by a high pressure determgent wash. To protect the antiqued finish, enchance the beauty of the colors, and provide for long lasting customer satisfaction, the surface should be sealed with two coats of SelectGuard. See sealer data sheet for detailed application methods.

COVERAGE

Coverage will be approximately 800 ft² per 30lb. pail.
